Sidney Smith has been in the IT industry since 1997 and has been working with Virtualization and Networking Technologies since 2000. His first exposure to VMware was VMware Workstation for Linux 1.0. Sid currently is a senior systems engineer with VIRTERA, a leading virtualization solutions provider in North America. In this role, Sid spends most of his time architecting and implementing large-scale Vmware virtualization environments as well as performing training and in depth health analysis for large fortune 100 and 500 companies. He currently is a VAC VCP with the following certifications: VCP, VTSP, CCNA,(CCA) Xen Server 4,(MCP) Hyper-V, and (MCP)VMM08, and is well on his way to achieving his VMware VCDX certification. Sid also has extensive experience with Linux, Windows Server Systems, and Networked Infrastructures.
